New Year's Restitution

December was not kind to the waist line. I was/am ok with that, and now it's time to jump back on the horse. No booze, limit carbs, increase protein, good fats, and water intake. It's pretty simple really, except for the fact I live in the US, where everything is coated with carbs.

I'm having lots of eggs for breakfast, and turkey patties for lunch. I need to increase my veg intake too, which is easy if I go up to Hen House and put together a salad, but that's pricey to do day in and day out.

I've already lost 3.8 pounds in 5 days, but that's most likely because I was feeling like Augustus Gloop the whole month of December. Between turning 40, NYE, Christmas, T-day, the Chicago trip, there were plenty of opportunities to imbibe and eat lots of good food.

So enough about that I suppose. Going to have a jam session tonight. I think there is going to be six guitarists. That's a lot of six-stringed wankery going on. I suppose our "set list" is pretty low key though. Hopefully we can get Gold Dust Woman in, but it'd be nice to have a bass and drummer to keep things moving along.

That's it for now. I probably have more stuff, but I'm not up for it. This blog post took almost all day since I got distracted for 8-ish hours (work).
